Fight 41 & Respect

Okay, I really should have updated yesterday. But I was lame, and I didn't. >_>;;

So everyone who reads this has heard of the budget cuts going on in Cali. 43 and counting of y high schools teachers got pink slips. That. Is. Insane.

So an organization was formed - Fight 41. (well 43 now but...) We had swim & me, SarahKelley, Jae, And practically all the Varsity guys left practice to attend the meeting.

Afterwards, the guys who had went were talking.

Scott: What I really don't like about this is that some of the people doing this don't really care. Their just doing this so they have something to write about for college.
Hayden: I know - it's always like that with big stuff like this.

I was SHOCKED. I mean, the guys on my swim team... are obnoxious. And stupid. But I actually think they care about this. I mean... if they didn't then they wouldn't even mention that.

So now I respect those guys who came. I mean, wow. They have brains. o-o. I'm proud to call some of them my upper classmen. No matter how stupid they are (Scott: If there's a tank @ the march, I'm going to pull down my pants!)

... And yet now... the wind seems to blow harder than usual. Foreshadowing, perhaps?

Whatever it is, I'm glad to know that whatever happens, we were willing to fight for what's right. Isn't that what makes the day worth while in the end?

Or perhaps I'm too good-hearted.... -____-;;
