Aang is not the hero of avatar.
Aang has always been a good kid. Sure, he had to destroy the firelord, but he's always known his destiny. Always known what's right. Except near the end. But he sacrifices nothing, really. He gets the girl, he defeats the fire lord without killing him, losing nothing in return.
Chyeah. People like that only exist in cartoons. Stories.
Zuko on the other hand... He struggles to find what's right. And to do it, he has to go against his country, Mai...
Aang never had such a struggle. He always ran, until the very end. Zuko's had so much crap forced onto him (MUCH more than Aang in my view). He's been lost, confused, but he found his way out, and saved the fire nation.. and the world.
In a sense, I think more people like Zuko because they understand him better. His character is flawed, just like us. He struggles to do what's right, but he does in the end. It's much more inspiring than what aang pulls off. >:
Therefore, Zuko is the hero of AtLA.

Silly fangirls..
Sorry for being so Emo last post. I don't really want to explain it, but because of the Zutara LJ community, I was able to heal and find alot of laughs as well. Even though I'm not part of it, I am in spirit. Thanks for the funnies and the hope that Zutara might actually become possible.

... But what about Jacob. He helped heal Bella. He may be a jerkass, but it's because he's in love with her. He's selfish like any other human, but he knows she loves him not. He tries. But he's only human. In a way, I find his character much more enduring. I love him more than Edward. Because Edward is the man made diamond which everyone loves, where Jacob is the flawed, but beautiful black diamond.
Everyone seems to hate him, except for those who really... look. They call themselves true Meyer fans... then try to understand that YOU SHOULDN'T HATE JACOB. IF YOU WERE BELLA, YOU WOULDN'T.
You would love him. As a friend, a brother, or more - who knows? But you would still love him...

The Avatar ending made me want to cry.
I know there are fanfictions.
I know that maybe Maiko & Kataang make sense.
But it still hurts. Near the ending, you could feel it. I could at least. The was something between them that I just couldn't quite put my finger on. With Kataang it was too brotherly/sisterly. With Maiko, it felt so... fake.
But with Zutara, it seemed real. It made me feel like... I had a chance.
Looks like that was all destroyed. It seemed so right, but for some reason, they made it so wrong.
I'm done expecting things that won't happen. I'm just done. Done expecting love returned, done expecting someone to understand, just. fucking. done.

Humans are so clueless. In our pain, we blame. We blame our friends, our family, ourselves. We tear ourselves apart over words. Isn't funny how something can't make you bleed hurts you more than any wound?
It's also quite ironic how they tell you not to take peer pressure when they always tell you who to be. Parents always want children to be proud of; but what do we have to give up to become... them?
I like walking in the middle of the street in the dark. I like running around barefoot in the grass. I like complaining about things I can't change. I like screaming my head off when I want to.
I like being me. They want you to be someone else, and all you have to do is turn up the music and dance and sing like no one's listening.
Why only act like yourself when your alone?
It's also quite ironic how they tell you not to take peer pressure when they always tell you who to be. Parents always want children to be proud of; but what do we have to give up to become... them?

Well, I've gotten into Paramore. It's like Fall out Boy. But with a girl singer. Misery Business is a funny vid, but my favorite song is That's What You Get is probably my favorite song, and I like the video alot. The lead singer looks like Jen in it... it was kind of weird...
